The Student Mental Health Advocacy Collective meets to discuss current issues in mental health at Carleton in order to identify areas in need of improvement. SMHAC is an action-oriented advocacy group whose current project involves working with the administration to create a new mental health framework that meets the wide range of needs of students at Carleton. SMHAC has been an OPIRG working group since Fall 2016.

Throughout the summer, SMHAC meets about twice monthly depending on member availability. If you are interested in improving mental health at a systems level at Carleton, you can email to join the group or inquire more about what we do. You can also join the SMHAC Facebook group here.
